Surrealism "Man on the Planet"

From the picture of the man sitting on a planet in space it conveys many different aspects of about life and the person in general. First of all, a man sitting on a planet depicts him as being so big that he is larger than a planet in space. This idea shows that the person realistically may not be as big as a planet, but symbolizes that he may have an impact on people or even a lot of power that is equated to the size of a planet. While this character is sitting on a planet, he is watching tv. The fact that he watches tv makes him appear for human-like for regular people watch tv, the fact that he is watching tv symbolizes that although he may be larger than life and powerful he is still a human just like the rest of us. What he is watching could also be a symbol for him watching over people and how the amount of authority that he has gives him the power to watch what people are doing. What he is watching could also represent that he may be in love or infatuated with the girl on the television set. The man watching the girl would convey the idea that she is the only thing he wants to watch or see and nothing else, although he sits on top of a planet and has a lot of power he still is a human and seeks love. The overall idea of a man sitting on top of a planet in dark space represents more than just having power as a whole, but also that he is in a place where he can relax and not be bothered by the world.

Interesting interpretation. I like that his size in comparison to the planet represents his importance or the importance of what he will do. I think that is truth.
